A fun suggestion of ours when this Mackenzie Thorpe print (The Alley Players) was brought in for us to be reframed. Our customer was delighted to have it in a box frame with a collection of colourful marbles included. Invisible Tru Vue glass was used, hence giving them no means of support. Marbleous!

Towcester Through an Artist’s Eyes.

Towcester Town Hall through an Artist’s eyes.
We have had various artist depict our Town Hall over the years, but these are the best ones yet. Four very different styles all of which are available to but at Watling Street Galleries.
The Town Hall and Corn Exchange was built in 1865 under the direction of its architect T.H.Vernon. Its construction was due entirely to Towcester’s Victorian forefathers who formed a company, issued shares and raised the capital to build it. Its friendly Italianate frontage is a reminder of their confidence and enterprise. In 1983 for the first time in its 118 years existence, it became the responsibility of the Parish Council.

Framing in the Fast Lane!

Another interesting framing project for us.
A full sized motor racing suit, worn and signed by Giorgio Pantano, a former F1 & IndyCar driver.
The framing specification comprised of a custom built box frame with conservation standard components. The garment was then suspended on a specialist transparent acrylic hanger and sewn to the backing in several strategic places.
Our customer was over the moon when he collected it.
Mind you getting it into the back of his car was interesting!
